Many years ago I had the pleasure of taking a couple Yantra Painting classes with Pieter Weltevrede who was a student of the late Harish Johari. It was incredibly helpful and healing to be able to directly connect my art with spirituality. I also gained some practical skills. I learned the value of slowing down, and taking a precise, methodical approach. I also learned some basic mathematical strategies for drafting balanced and intricate mandalas. I was drawn towards creating mandalas with six segments. You may have your own understanding of this number but I fid it balanced and beautiful in a satisfying way. This mandala was an exploration of round, floral and watery organic shapes. It also reminds me of the warmth and balance needed for growth. It was a pleasure to create and I hope it brings you pleasure to look at.
